Cygnet Group are looking for an experienced Team Leader (Social Care) to join our team working at The Squirrels.

The Squirrels

The Squirrels is a specialist residential service for adults with autism and learning disabilities, who may present with behaviours that challenge. We aim to provide a safe, comfortable and effective care environment for those in our care, promoting independence and community integration.

Your Role as a Team Leader (Social Care) at Cygnet:

Working 42-hours per week (Days Only) on a permanent contract, working 12-hour days across a 7-day rota, including approximately two weekends per month.

Your Day to Day

  • Offer enhanced care with a flexible learning approach to all individuals in our care
  • Provide guidance & encouragement through physical & emotional support
  • Learn about individuals specific needs & provide help in the most appropriate way
  • Assist with medical & welfare needs & report as required
  • Support management in the day-to-day running of the service
  • Undertake supervisory & administrative responsibilities
  • Safeguard
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment for all.

You are

  • Either currently working as a Senior Support Worker or Team Leader
  • Experience supporting individuals with autism, learning disabilities or behaviours that challenge
  • Experienced in shift leading, delegating tasks to junior staff members and supporting Service Managers
  • Genuinely driven to make a difference in peoples lives
  • Confident, assertive & ambitious for yourself, service users & the organisation
  • An excellent communicator & good team player
  • Organised, committed & keen to develop your management & leadership skills.

Please note that successful candidates will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
