The post holder will be accountable for the development and operation of business intelligence systems, data flows and work packages to produce internal and external activity information. This will include operational reporting requirements and statutory returns. The role will help ensure that the outputs meet the required quality standards, schedules, and governance requirements.

This will be achieved by the specification, development, testing and deployment of data warehouse, digital technologies and reporting solutions, and the production of information and business intelligence from clinical and corporate data.

Working within a Data, Digital and Technology team, the purpose of this role is to advance healthcare informatics within this emerging field.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Informatics or Information qualification to degree level or equivalent experience in developing and implementing in management information systems.

Desirable

  • Prince2 Certification.

Experience

Essential

  • Significant experience of delivering BI and clinical systems solutions based on Microsoft technology, in particular Azure based MS SQL components (SSIS, T- SQL, SSAS, SSRS), Microsoft Azure development, Power BI or similar
  • Evidenced experience of development using AI enabled Power Apps, Power Automate and Power Bi
  • Experience of multi-system data extraction, storage, integration and reporting.

Desirable

  • Experience of close working with healthcare professionals.
  • Experience of Power Automate (formerly known as flow)

Knowledge & Understanding

Essential

  • Understanding of NHS data dictionary, MHSDS and CSDS and other relevant Information standards, including the ability to apply these standards to system designs/developments

Other

Essential

  • Attention to detail, in keeping with an Informatics professional.
