- To communicate effectively and appropriately with people who use the service, colleagues and other professionals maintaining professional relationships between all people.
- To attend to care needs identified within the care plan ensuring respect, privacy, and dignity always.
- Involve people in the development of their own care and support.
- To always maintain the safety of people, alerting senior staff to any identified risks whether perceived or actual.
- To work with individuals in a respectful and person-centred way
- To have a sound awareness of Safeguarding issues being clear about their respective roles and responsibilities to report, respond to and share information in relation to Safeguarding Adults, Safeguarding Children, Domestic Abuse and Public Protection.
- To contribute positively to the effectiveness and efficiency of the teams in which he/she works.
- To undertake any other duties at the request of the line manager which are commensurate with the role, including project work, internal job rotation and absence cover.
- To contribute to a health and safety working environment by adhering to health and safety regulations and Trust policies, contributing to the prevention and control of health care associated infection by adhering to Trust policies and guidelines.
- To actively be involved in Personal development Planning process via Supervision and Appraisal.
- Due to operational needs, candidates must be able to drive a manual-transmission vehicle

Qualifications
Essential
- To have achieved or willing to undertake CARE Certificate

- To have achieved a Level 2 or 3 NVQ in Health & Social Care

- To support and assist individuals to pursue a range of leisure and social activities
Skills
Essential
- Due to operational needs, candidates must be able to hold a Full UK manual driving licence and drive a manual-transmission vehicle
- Clean driving license with NO endorsements or convictions
