Job description

Are you passionate about making a real difference in people's lives? We are looking for a dedicated and empathetic Supported Living Worker to join our CQC-registered service. In this role, you will empower individuals with diverse needs-including mental health challenges, learning disabilities, autism, and complex care requirements-to lead fulfilling, independent lives.

Working Hours: Full or Part Time - Day and nights available
Hourly Rate: £13.45 (PAYE)

Working under the direction of our Registered Manager and Seniors, you will provide person-centred support tailored to the unique goals and aspirations of each service user. Your daily impact will include:

Empowering Independence: Assisting with daily living tasks, including personal care, medication administration, and nutrition planning, to help service users achieve personal outcomes.
Promoting Choice: Advocating for service users, ensuring their voices are heard and their preferences are at the heart of their care and support plans.
Health & Wellbeing: Monitoring health needs, managing medications safely, and coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams to promote wellness.
Social Inclusion: Supporting service users in attending essential appointments and engaging in community activities to foster connections and prevent isolation.
Ensuring Safety: Implementing positive behaviour support, managing risks effectively, and maintaining high standards of CQC compliance through accurate reporting.

You are a resilient and calm individual who approaches every situation with empathy and understanding. You thrive in a collaborative environment and are committed to maintaining the dignity and respect of those you support.

Experience: Previous experience in a care setting (professional or informal/family care) is highly valued.
Skills: You possess strong communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work on your own initiative.
Technical Aptitude: You are comfortable working in a modern digital environment for record-keeping and team collaboration.
Qualifications: A Level 2 Diploma in Care is desirable, though we welcome applications from those with the right values and a willingness to learn.
Requirements: A full driving licence and access to a vehicle is desired but not essential.
