Job description

Are you an experienced Care or Support Worker looking for high rates, flexible weekly shift patterns, and varied work across Lanarkshire and South Lanarkshire? We are currently recruiting dedicated care professionals to cover dynamic home care, residential, and complex support packages across the region. Pay Rates & Expenses

Weekday Rates: £17.50 - £18.00 per hour (Umbrella) | £14.92 - £15.34 per hour (PAYE, inc. holiday pay)

Weekend Rates: £18.00 per hour (Umbrella) | £15.34 per hour (PAYE, inc. holiday pay)

Mileage Allowance: Reimbursed at £0.45 per mile between visits for community-based roles.

Shift Patterns & Schedule We offer a flexible variation of weekday and weekend work. Shift times vary depending on individual client requirements (typically +/- 1-2 hours each way):

Day Shifts: Early, Late, and Long Day patterns available (e.g., 07:00-15:00, 14:00-22:00, or 07:00/08:00-22:00)

Sleepover Shifts: Typically run from 22:00 - 07:00

Availability Requirements: Candidates must be able to commit to a minimum of 24 hours per week (preferably spread over 3 days, which can change weekly). Flexibility to pick up last-minute shifts is highly advantageous due to the fast-paced nature of cover requests.

Essential Candidate Requirements

UK Experience: Minimum 1 year of UK-based care experience is essential.

Experience Profile: Proven background supporting older adults in care homes/care-at-home environments OR supporting adults with learning disabilities (such as Autism).

Behavioral Support: Experience managing challenging behaviors and confidence utilizing verbal de-escalation tactics.

Core Competencies: Must be fully comfortable delivering personal care, administering medication unsupervised, and accurately writing daily reports and updating MAR charts.

Gender Preference: Male and female candidates are welcome, though female staff are strongly preferred due to specific female client personal care needs.

Driving: A UK driving license with access to a personal vehicle is preferable, though non-drivers will be considered depending on local public transport routes.

Coverage Area & Location

Primary Areas: Lanarkshire and South Lanarkshire (Must be within a 40-minute radius of South Lanarkshire).

Secondary Areas (Drivers Only): Candidates based in Ayrshire, West Dunbartonshire, and East Dunbartonshire will also be considered if they drive.
