Support Worker Newtownabbey - Learning Disabilities (Day Centre) Are you a dedicated professional committed to making a tangible difference in the lives of others?

We are currently seeking compassionate Support Workers to join dynamic day centres across the Newtownabbey & Northern Trust area. In this role, you will play a key part in providing high-quality, person-centred care to support adults with learning disabilities, challenging behaviours and complex needs.

Minimum of 6 months of paid experience delivering direct care within a care environment (or 2 years experience if without specific social care qualifications)Health & Social Care qualification (Level 2 Diploma/NVQ/QCF/VRQ/RCF) or 4 GCSEs at Grade C or above, including English and MathsLive NI Social Care Council registration (NISCC)Strong communication skills combined with a patient, empathetic, and compassionate approachAbility to work effectively within a team and demonstrate initiativeCandidates will be subject to enhanced vetting, including an Enhanced Access NI check to include a Barred list check for Children & vulnerable adults depending on the role & setting What We Offer

Assist senior staff and management in the operational delivery of support services, promoting individual independence and well being.Provide expert, compassionate assistance with personal care and daily living activities tailored to assessed needs.Facilitate social inclusion by supporting service users during group activities, including arts and crafts, music, and community outings.Encourage engagement in local leisure visits and community events to foster a sense of belonging Randstad Care acts as an employment business when supplying temporary staff and as an employment agency when introducing candidates for permanent employment with a client.
