Experienced Learning Disability Support Worker Location: Ashford, Middlesex (TW15) Job Type: Full-time | Permanent Salary: £12.75 – £13.00 per hour (depending on experience and qualifications) Please Note: You must already have the right to work in the UK. We do not offer sponsorship. We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Learning Disability Support Worker to join our children's residential home supporting children and young people with learning disabilities. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference while working within a supportive and professional team. Key Responsibilities
Provide high-quality, person-centred care in line with individual care plans.Support children and young people with their daily routines, education, appointments and community activities.Promote independence, life skills and emotional wellbeing.Build positive, trusting relationships with young people.Complete daily records, reports and safeguarding documentation accurately.Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.Support young people using therapeutic and trauma-informed approaches.Safely manage behaviours that may arise during periods of distress or dysregulation.Assist with meal preparation, cooking, laundry and other household duties. Requirements
Full UK Driving Licence (essential).Aged 22 years or above.Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare.NVQ Level 2 Health & Social Care.Previous experience supporting children with learning disabilities and challenging behaviour within a residential setting.Excellent communication and teamwork skills.Ability to remain calm under pressure.Passion for improving the lives of children and young people. 7 shifts across a fortnight (Week 1: 3 shifts, Week 2: 4 shifts).13-hour shifts (07:30 – 20:30, including a 1-hour paid break).Weekend and Bank Holiday working required.Paid sleep-in shifts available. Benefits
