Support Worker

The role of a Support Worker at Enable in Wareham involves making a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with complex support needs. You'll be working with people with Learning Disabilities, Autism, Mental Health, and complex needs. Your tasks include encouraging independent living, supporting daily activities, effective communication, promoting quality of life, and providing positive behavioural support. As part of the team, you'll record and report changes and work both independently and collaboratively. A minimum of 12 months right to work in the UK and a full UK Drivers Licence are required.

Encouraging people to play active roles in the communities in which they live, to encourage independence.

Supporting Activities of daily Living including social activities, personal care, routines, planning and preparation of meals and budgeting.

Communicating- effectively communicate using peoples chosen methods

Engaging- promoting and motivating people we support to enhance their quality of life

Specialising - supporting people who may need positive behavioural support approaches

Recording- keeping accurate records &reporting changes in health or circumstances of service users to management

Team player Working as part of a team, as well as being able to work using your own initiative.
