The School Nursing Targeted Intervention Service prides itself in providing health advice and support to children, young people and their families within Stoke on Trent.

The key responsibilities of the role include: working closely with our special and mainstream schools in the Stoke on Trent area, supporting teacher training and care planning for children with specific health needs, delivering nocturnal enuresis clinics, toileting/continence issues, advice and support to parents regarding physical and emotional health needs of their child and completing review health assessments with looked after children. The post holder will need to have excellent communication skills and be confident in the roles of safeguarding children.

The post is a permanent post for 30 hours per week, the service is delivered between Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 5.00 pm. There will be flexibility for the hours to be delivered within these days and times.

You must be a car driver with access to their own car for school visiting. Full training for the post will be given and the candidate will need to be educated to registered nurse level one. For any further details of the post or an informal discussion please contact
