Academics are recruiting on behalf of a leading specialist school in Aylesbury for a dedicated Speech and Language Therapist to join their experienced multidisciplinary team from September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for a Speech and Language Therapist to work within a supportive educational environment, helping pupils with Autism, speech, language and communication needs (SLCN), and a range of complex learning difficulties develop the communication skills they need to succeed both in school and beyond. Location: AylesburyContract: PermanentHours: Full Time (Part Time Considered)Salary: Competitive, dependent on experienceStart Date: September 2026 The Role As a Speech and Language Therapist in Aylesbury, you will work closely with teachers, families and other professionals to deliver high-quality therapy and communication support across the school. Key responsibilities include:
Delivering individual and small group Speech and Language Therapy sessionsAssessing pupils' communication needs and contributing to EHCP reviewsDeveloping and implementing personalised therapy programmesSupporting whole-school communication strategiesProviding guidance and training to teaching staffWorking collaboratively with parents, carers and external professionals to achieve the best outcomes for pupils What the School Offers
