The post holder will offer World Class Care to service users, staff, colleagues, clients and patients alike. The main duties include but not limited to:
To provide a first class clinical service to our patients.To supervise and teach junior clinical staff.To participate in the teaching, research, audit and governance programmes within the Department.To develop professionally and take part in all service development.To take part in all development and appraisal processes.

Education & Professional Qualifications
Essential
- MBBS or equivalent
- Registered with the GMC
- MRCEM, FRCEM, MEM,PGDEM, DEM or equivalent EM qualification or 24 months formal clinical EM experience
Desirable
- ALS/ATLS/APLS or EPLS provider
- Higher degree
- Member of Medical Defence organisation

Experience & Knowledge
Essential
- Clinical experience in the relevant specialty (Emergency Medicine min 12 months)
- Experience of and commitment to medical audit
- Current ATLS,APLS or/and ALS

- Clinical experience in the other specialties
- Experience of and commitment to teaching undergraduate and postgraduate medical staff
- Ultrasound skills

- Ability to take full and independent responsibility for clinical care of patients
- Ability to cover on call
- Demonstrable commitment to multidisciplinary team working
- Positive approach to lessons learnt
- IT Skills
