An exciting opportunity has arisen for a band 6 nurse to join the SNOP team (Specialist nurses for older persons). The SNOP's are specialist nurses th...
- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for older frail patients, offering advice and support to ward staff, patients and their families.
- Provide expert advice and clinical practice and be able to provide skills required for patient assessment e.g. catheter insertion, cannulation, ecg's etc.
- Participate in the education and development of other staff members.
- Work collaboratively and co-operatively with clinical colleagues to develop services and quality of care delivered.
- To ensure the management plan following CGA is commenced for all relevant patients following assessment and try and hit target to complete within 1hour of admission.

Qualifications, Specific Experience & Training
Essential
- Registered Nurse
- Diploma in Nursing
- Attained or working towards higher degree
Desirable
- Clean driving license
Knowledge and Skills
Essential
- Post-registration in speciality or related field
- Teaching and Assessing qualification
- Minimum of three years post-registration in relevant field
