You must have a comprehensive understanding of current medicines management initiatives within the NHS modernisation agenda and also an understanding of legislation governing medicines management, e.g. Patient Group Directions and Non-Medical Prescribing.

Our aim is to maximise your potential within our friendly and welcoming pharmacy team, and you will be encouraged and supported to develop professionally by undertaking postgraduate qualifications relevant to your role.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Registered Nurse
  • Relevant First Degree or can demonstrate willingness to achieve within three years of appointment, supplemented by specialist professional knowledge of education and development practice to Masters level equivalent

Desirable: - Management qualification

Experience

Essential: - Experience of Clinical Practice at senior level; - Up to date in nursing practice; - Teaching qualification or evidence of teaching experience

Desirable: - Evidence of management experience; - Experience of service improvement

Knowledge

Essential: - An in-depth understanding of the quality and safety agenda

Personal Qualities

Essential: - Ability to prioritise; - Time Management; - Multi-disciplinary team working; - Able to work flexibly and contribute to the programme of change

Skills

Essential

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and people management skills
  • Can demonstrate examples of implementation of change
