The adult Audiology department at Royal Derby Hospital are looking to recruit enthusiastic and motivated Band 6 Audiologists to work within our friend...
The successful applicant will join our Team of Audiologists to provide acomprehensive diagnostic and rehabilitative Audiology service for adults which will include working with patients with more complex audiological issues.
You will be involved in the initial assessment of patients referred from their GP, typically with asymmetrical hearing loss, unilateral or asymmetrical tinnitus and other associated symptoms. You will be required to determine appropriate treatment, refer for MRI scans where appropriate or refer onwards when required.
The department also works closely with our Team of ENT Consultants and Audiological Physician, particularly regarding services for patients with vestibular symptoms.
Involvement in Student training, audit and quality improvement is also likely.
You will be expected to work across a number of sites, so a willingness totravel/access to a motor vehicle is desirable.

Education, Training & Qualifications
Essential
- Registration as an audiologist or clinical scientist with AHCS or HCPC
- BSc (Hons) Audiology or equivalent (e.g. PTP), with post qualification experience
- Maintenance of continual professional development
Experience & Knowledge
Essential
- Good level of clinical and technical audiology knowledge in specialist areas (tinnitus, balance)
Desirable
- Membership of BAA/BSA
- Recognised qualification in BSL
- Teaching, supervision and mentorship
Skills & Ability
Essential
- Excellent communication skills to enable building good rapports with colleagues and patients
- Able to organise own day to day work
- IT literate with good knowledge of Microsoft Office
