This is an opportunity for a Band 6 role on ward 203/Royal Derby Spinal Centre within Trauma and Orthopaedics. We are looking for a highly motivated i...
The majority of your role will be clinical, and you will be a clinical lead on the ward supporting and mentoring junior members of the team with your experience and knowledge.
The job will also entail all aspects of people/staff management, for example, ensuring staff wellbeing, completing appraisals, dealing with conflict and more.
You will be expected to complete, audits, rosters, reports, attend meetings and liaise with all members of the MDT as well as many other tasks.

Registered Nurse
Essential: - NMC Qualification
Desirable: - Evidence of teaching/training colleagues
Post registration experience
Essential: - Demonstrable post registration experience; - Demonstrable experience within an acute hospitable setting
Desirable: - Evidence of continued learning post registration; - Evidence of leadership qualities and/or training
Experience
Essential
- Demonstrable experience within orthopaedics
- Demonstrable experience within care of Trauma Spines
- Experience of mentoring, supporting, coaching and developing staff
Desirable: - Experienced in trauma admissions; - Experienced in care of complex patients
Knowledge of ward management
Essential: - Knowledge of ward and people management; - Knowledge of working with hip fracture and dementia patients
Desirable: - Evidence of undertaking appraisals/audits; - Evidence of making/supporting change
