As a Ward Sister you will
- Demonstrate good clinical practice at all times and be accountable for own actions.
- Work within a team, supervising and directing junior staff and deputising for Senior Staff as required.
- Support and act as role model for junior staff, promoting a learning environment.
- When required, review the allocation of staff to the ward, adjusting the workforce to reflect activity and patient need.
- Ensure that your own professional development is maintained and enhanced.

Qualifications
Essential
- Be a Registered Nurse.
Desirable
- Post Graduate course in the relevant specialty.
Experience
Essential
- Have post-registration clinical experience in day surgery.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Patient orientated with a focus on continuous service improvement.
Desirable
- Medicine, surgery, orthopaedic or cardiac experience an advantage.
- Mentorship training and qualification.
