To ensure accurate planning of Radiotherapy treatments as prescribed, with appropriate care of the patient with a cancer diagnosis
To assist the pre-treatment Team Lead Therapeutic Radiographers in charge of pre-treatment and deputise as necessary.
To use highly developed communication skills to support patients and carers in informed decision making about their care
Adhere to all Health and Safety aspects required in the Mould Room with special reference to COSHH.
Be able to accurately position and immobilise the patient in a suitable position for treatment
Ensure appropriate scans are taken so that treatment can be accurately localised and treatment plans can be verified.
To ensure that immobilisation devices and shielding devices for radiotherapy treatments are produced in a timely and accurate manner.
To be able to plan palliative treatments on VSim.
Use appropriate planning and time management techniques to aid the Band 7 Team Leader with the smooth running of the area of pre-treatment to which he/she is assigned.
Required to provide mentorship and assess training/competency of radiographers, students, apprentices and pre-treatment support workers.

Knowledge and Experience
Essential
- Wide experience with equipment and techniques
- Experience with student/support worker education
- Knowledge of national developments in radiotherapy techniques/ advances
Desirable: - Mould room experience; - Contrast media injection training

Essential: - DCR (T) or BSc (Hons) State Registered Therapeutic Radiographer
