The job role will include setting up and assisting in procedures and examinations, post-procedure aftercare, and aiding imaging staff as a chaperone.

- To escort patients within the department chaperoning wherenecessary and be responsible for patient comfort and well being.
- To assist in undressing and redressing of patients.
- To assist patients to use toilet facilities as appropriate.
- To assist patients on and off ultrasound table before and after procedures.
- To communicate effectively with patients by listening to their concerns, reassuring them by giving information and where appropriate eliciting and communicating information to other members of the Directorate team as appropriate.
- To collect, collate and file patient documentations as required.
- To input and retrieve patient information using the computerised radiology patient information system and the hospital information support system.
- Setting up and assisting with Interventional procedures as required.

Qualifications
Essential
- NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) in Healthcare
Knowledge
Essential
- An understanding of direct patient care
- An understanding of patient confidentiality
Skills
Essential
- Ability to communicate in a variety of settings with patients and staff of varying levels of understanding
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to undertake training to meet the competencies required for this role
