Are you an experienced qualified pharmacy technician who is looking for a new challenge? An opportunity has arisen to join the Pharmacy Homecare Team ...

The candidate will lead, manage and develop the pharmacy operational technical service related to medicines homecare at UHDB. Some of the main duties of the role include:

To provide technical support to the Pharmacy High Cost Drugs & Commissioning Team and other relevant Pharmacy support teams

To help ensure that UHDB medicines homecare services are of a consistently high standard by regular liaison with UHDB clinical teams, and representatives of homecare companies, including developing new opportunities for homecare services

Training and experience

Essential

  • Registered Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Society evidence of ongoing CPD
  • Extensive experience of checking and Dispensing of Medicines and Prescriptions
  • Evidence of supervising experience

Desirable: - Experience in High Cost Drugs or Home care Services; - Membership of professional organisation

Organisational Skills

Essential

  • Evidence of working on your own initiative but know when to refer problems to senior staff
  • Evidence of being able to identify medicine usage problems that need resolving, planning, analysing and implement solutions

Skills

Essential: - Evidence of computer skills and IT knowledge, including spreadsheets,Functional Knowledge Of Pharmacy Computer and EPMA Systems
