Occupational Therapist with excellent communication skills to join our existing dynamic multidisciplinary Local Mental Health Team.
The post-holder will conduct specific assessments, formulation and interventions, working collaboratively with patients, their carers/families and partnership organisations to develop creative, goal oriented, time limited occupational therapy plans.

This post is both rewarding and a vital role towards the assessment and delivery of treatment to our patients in the Broxtowe and Hucknall area.
To provide a high-quality Occupational Therapy service collaboratively with the patients in their own homes and local environments. Working with an assistant in the provision of intervention plans. If interested see JD/Spec for more details.
Professional and clinical supervision will be provided by an identified Occupational Therapist.
Please note applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check. Costs are deducted from salary following appointment. The cost of the DBS application is £26.40 (standard) or £54.40 (enhanced), this cost will be deducted from your salary over the first 2 months of employment.
You are encouraged to enrol for the DBS Update Service. An annual fee of £16 per year applies.
A full UK driving licence and vehicle for business use is required for this post; however reasonable adjustments will be made for disabled individuals in line with the Equality Act 2010

Qualifications
Essential: - BSc or MSc Occupational Therapy; - HCPC registered; - Specialist knowledge/post registration and experience of working in a mental health setting
Desirable: - Demonstrates continued professional development to maintain registration
Physical Requirements
Essential: - Physical ability to perform a full range of duties
Desirable: - Experience of working in community or acute mental health
Training
Essential: - OT Practice Fieldwork Educator; - oWillingness to undertake clinical practice, education, and training to enhance service delivery
Desirable: - Relevant training to post
Knowledge/Skills
Essential: - Assessment & OT process skills; - Effective risk management; - Skilled in motivating others; - Team working; - Quality & audit skills
Desirable: - Experience of supervising and leading staff
