Support the design and development of all divisional related national returns like Community SITREPs,Community Services Dataset (CSDS),Mental Health Services Dataset (MHSDS) or Talking Therapies (IAPT) to meet current and future business reporting requirements based on national guidance and internal stakeholder engagement.

Maintenance of all national reporting (CSDS,MHSDS, IAPT) to meet agreed business reporting requirements.

Day to day effective production of all key divisional reports available via Trust BI platform to a large range of relevant stakeholders.

Produce and present divisional KPI monitoring reports at the relevant divisional meetings attended by the Trust's senior operational team.

Responsible for the receipt, review and processing of high complex and sensitive data-sets for assigned division.

Responsible for the accurate documentation of the logic used for report extraction.

Ensure that all changes to the logic are discussed, tested and agreed with the BI manager, underpinned by an impact assessment, prior to implementation.

Education

Essential

  • Degree in mathematics, computing or another discipline with high numerical content or equivalent knowledge and experience
  • Masters level degree or equivalent knowledge and experience

Skills/Abilities

Essential

  • Advanced querying skills against large relational database management systems
  • An ability to handle highly sensitive patient data in a confidential and senstivie fashion
  • Extensive experience of receiving and/or extracting complex and sensitive data-sets from complex systems
  • Proven ability to provide information in order to guide management action
  • Effective staff management skills

Desirable: - Effective budgetary management skills; - Skilled in the use and interpretation of statistical analytical tools

Experience

Essential

  • Extensive experience in NHS information environments
  • Extensive experience of receiving and/or extracting complex and sensitive data sets from complex systems
  • Extensive experience of using standard BI tools like Qlikview, Tableau, Power BI
  • Experience of managing, motivating and developing teams of people

Desirable: - Experience of working effectively with clinical teams; - Experience supporting Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs)

Knowledge

Essential

  • Expert knowledge of Access targets
  • Detailed knowledge of information use across the NHS
  • Knowledge of UK GDPR, Data Protection Act 2018, Caldicott Principles and NHS Information Governance requirements

Desirable: - Knowedge of anonymisation and pseudonymisation techniques for healthcare data.
