You'll support people in their own homes through personal care and daily living tasks, helping them stay safe, independent and well. You'll be part of...
- Provide personal care, including washing, dressing and meal support
- Administer medication and carry out basic observations within your training
- Support mobility and encourage independence in daily activities
- Maintain accurate records using electronic systems
- Work with colleagues and other services to ensure joined-up care
What we're looking for: - NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care, or similar experience
- Experience working in a care or health setting
- Strong communication skills with patients, carers and teams
- Ability to work independently and manage your own time
- Willingness to complete training such as Care Certificate or medication competency

Qualifications
Essential
- NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent level of experience in Health and/or Social Care
- Medication administration training or willing to undertake this as part of the induction period
- Care Certificate or willingness to complete this within a 6 month induction period
Knowledge
Essential: - Experience of working in a health and/ or care environment; - Experience of prioritising own work load; - Good understanding of basic IT skills
Desirable: - Knowledge and experience of administering medication

- Effective interpersonal skills to work one-to-one with patients
- Ability to communicate with healthcare professionals and patients
- Ability to deal with potentially challenging and distressed people
- Effective verbal and non-verbal communication skills in dealing with face-to-face contact
- Good telephone manner and communication skills
- Ability to work within a team and independently
- Able to plan own time effectively
