Senior Carer - Residential Care Home - Bank

As a Bank Residential Senior Carer at a Barchester care home, you'll attend to the various needs of residents, enabling the delivery of quality, person-centered care and support. This position involves leading a team of care staff, providing training, supervision, and delegating duties during shifts. You will also handle medication administration and ordering, regularly review and update resident care plans and risk assessments, and liaise with GPs, district nursing teams, and residents' family members. A key aspect is respecting the dignity and preferences of residents, while contributing to a warm, welcoming, and vibrant environment. The job requires an NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care, previous residential care experience, and proven team leadership skills. You should be warm-hearted, compassionate, and committed to delivering personalized care and support to each resident. Many of our Senior Carer Assistants progress into Care Practitioners, Care Community Leads, or into nursing pathways, supported by ongoing training opportunities.

You will also support with the administering and ordering of medication, reviewing and updating resident care plans and risk assessment, and liaising with GP's, district nursing teams and resident family members. The successful candidate will have NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care to join us as a Residential Senior Care Assistant. You will have previous experience in a residential care setting along with proven team leadership skills and the ability to make appropriate decisions to support the needs and wellbeing of our Residents. We're looking for people who are warm-hearted, compassionate and committed to giving each resident individualised care and support. You'll have the opportunity to develop your career through ongoing training opportunities, so there's no limit to how far you can go with us. Many of our Senior Carer Assistants progress into Care Practitioners, Care Community Leads or on to nursing pathways.

As this is a Bank position to provide cover as and when we need it, such as for annual leave or sick leave, the hours and days you work will vary.
