Senior Carer - Residential Care Home - Bank

As a Bank Residential Senior Carer at a Barchester care home, you'll be responsible for the varied needs of our residents in order to deliver high-quality, person-centred care and support. This role involves leading a team of care staff, which includes conducting training, supervising staff, and delegating tasks during shifts. Additionally, you'll be involved in the administration and ordering of medication, updating resident care plans and risk assessments, and communicating with GPs, district nursing teams, and families. You'll respect the dignity and preferences of our residents while contributing to a warm, welcoming environment. Candidates should have NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care, prior residential care experience, and team leadership skills to support the well-being of residents. You will be responsible for leading a team of care staff, which will include training, supervisions and delegating duties on shift. You will also support with the administering and ordering of medication, reviewing and updating resident care plans and risk assessment, and liaising with GP's, district nursing teams and resident family members. The successful candidate will have NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care to join us as a Residential Senior Care Assistant. You will have previous experience in a residential care setting along with proven team leadership skills and the ability to make appropriate decisions to support the needs and wellbeing of our Residents. We're looking for people who are warm-hearted, compassionate and committed to giving each resident individualised care and support. You'll have the opportunity to develop your career through ongoing training opportunities, so there's no limit to how far you can go with us. Many of our Senior Carer Assistants progress into Care Practitioners, Care Community Leads or on to nursing pathways.

As this is a Bank position to provide cover as and when we need it, such as for annual leave or sick leave, the hours and days you work will vary.
