Senior Care Assistant / Team Leader –Luxury Retirement Home – AV2001 Location: Wadebridge, CornwallPay: £15.00 per hourHours: Full Time – Days About the Home Avon Search is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established residential care home located just a few miles from Wadebridge on Cornwall's beautiful North Coast. This modern, purpose-built home provides high-quality residential and personal care within a welcoming and supportive environment. Home to 36 residents, the service offers bright, spacious en-suite bedrooms that residents are encouraged to personalise, helping to create a true home-from-home atmosphere. Residents enjoy a choice of comfortable lounge areas, dedicated dining and activity spaces, and attractive, accessible gardens where they can take part in seasonal planting and outdoor activities. A range of additional services, including physiotherapy, chiropody, optician and hairdressing appointments, further enhance residents' wellbeing and quality of life. The experienced and compassionate team is committed to delivering person-centred care that promotes dignity, independence and the highest possible quality of life for every resident. The Role As a Senior Care Assistant / Team Leader, you will play an important role in supporting the day-to-day running of the care team while ensuring residents receive outstanding, compassionate care. Working closely with the wider care team, you will lead by example, provide guidance to colleagues, and help maintain the highest standards of care within a safe, friendly and supportive environment. Leading and supporting the care team throughout each shiftDelivering high-quality, person-centred residential careAssisting with personal care and promoting independenceSupporting medication administration where requiredMonitoring residents' wellbeing and reporting any changesCompleting accurate care documentation and handoversMentoring and supporting junior members of the care teamPromoting a safe, caring and positive environment for residents, relatives and colleagues About You We're looking for an experienced and compassionate Senior Care Assistant who enjoys leading a team and making a genuine difference to people's lives. You will have:
Previous experience as a Senior Care Assistant, Team Leader or similar role within a residential care settingNVQ Level 3 in Health & Social CareExperience supporting older people with a range of residential care needsMedication administration experience (desirable)Excellent communication and leadership skillsA caring, reliable and proactive approachA genuine passion for delivering exceptional person-centred care Benefits & Incentives
