The Senior Care Assistant position at Avery Healthcare involves supporting and working alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care. This role primarily focuses on ensuring a safe, caring, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors, and staff. Key responsibilities include monitoring residents' wellbeing, participating in the person-centred care planning process, supporting residents with medication requirements, undertaking staff supervisions, and acting as a key point of contact for residents, their relatives, health and social care professionals. The successful candidate must have an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes, 2 years experience working in a similar care environment, and effective communication skills. A positive attitude towards supporting and nurturing residents and staff is also required. Responding flexibly to a range of responsibilities and having eligibility to work in the UK are necessary for this role.

Your focus as a Senior Care Assistant will be tosupportand work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open,supportive, andinclusiveenvironment for residents, visitors and staff.
- Monitoringthe wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any changeimpactingon care and care plans, ensuring that new needs aremet,and written records are amended to reflect any variation.
- Beinginvolved in the person-centred care planning process, by implementing,monitoring,and undertaking monthly evaluations.
- Supporting residents with their medication requirements.
- Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff with their development where required.
- Actingas a key point for contact with residents, theirrelativesand visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in their wellbeing, ensuring that any reasonable requests are actedupon,and concerns or complaints are escalated.

- Have an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.

Essential
- An NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes. 2 years experience working in a similar care environment. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. A positive attitude to supporting and nurturing residents and staff.
