As a Senior Care Assistant at Agincare, you will play a crucial role in our care team by ensuring that residents receive personal care tailored to their preferences, such as bathing, dressing, and oral care, while promoting their right to choice and independence. You will also be involved in care reviews to ensure residents' plans reflect their needs accurately. Administering medication safely and supporting social activities are also key parts of the role, contributing to the residents' overall well-being. You may also take on leadership responsibilities, such as assisting with shadowing and development of newer staff and potentially leading the care home in the absence of more senior management. What is required from you? - A minimum of 12 months on your right to work in the UK
- NVQ Level 2 - Health and Social care qualification
- NVQ Level 3 - Health and Social Care qualification or be working towards
- Opportunities Available:
- Senior Care Assistant to work 36 hours per week from 8am to 8pm to include working alternative weekends
- Night Senior Care Assistant to work 36 hours per week from 8pm to 8am to include working alternative weekends
A day in the life of a Senior Care Assistant - Person-centred care - You will ensure that residents receive personal care from you and your team including bathing, dressing and oral care within their preferences, and actively promote right to choice and independence
- Review -You will contribute to and carry out care reviews with your residents to ensure their plans reflect their needs.
- Medication - You will administer residents' medication in a safe and supportive and compliant way
- Social Activity - You will lead in and participate in trips out, social engagements and activities within the home.
- Leadership - you may support new starters or existing staff with shadowing and development, and may be called up on to lead the home where more senior managers are not available.

Essential
- NVQ Level 2 and NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or working towards it.
