Provide specialist CAMHS clinical leadership, supervision, support and consultation to the MDT in the MHLS team, in line with relevant clinical pathway, as outlined within the operational procedures and relevant service specification.
Be expected to take a lead on developing and maintaining robust holistic care pathways into wider Children and Young Peoples' services, from the general hospital.
Lead on the development of the MDT knowledge and skills set around the assessment and response to the needs of Children and Young People. This will be achieved through the delivery of training, consultation and supervision as core aspects of this role. The standards and content of which would be in line with national guidance, agreed best practice and be centred on a standardised core set of clinical competencies.
Support the management of the integrated MHLS multidisciplinary 24-hour mental health service.
Provide direct patient interventions for Children and Young People, focusing on relapse prevention, early discharge and improved quality of life for patients referred to the service.
Be expected to individually provide, and support the wider MDT in providing, safe and comprehensive assessments of CYP in A & E department. Which would include offering advice, support and consultation in the development of highly developed risk assessments and management plans for this patient group.

Education
Essential
- Registered Social Worker, RMN or Occupational Therapist
- Current registration with relevant body (NMC, HCPC, SW England)
Desirable
- Professional Degree CAMHS-specific post-registration qualification
Experience
Essential
- Have recent experience of working within a CYP service that provided emergency or urgent response and assessment to Children and Young People.
- Have developed and delivered training to individuals from a range of professional backgrounds and services.
Desirable
- Significant experience of working accros urgent care post qualification
