SEND Learning Support Workers to support students with the highest levels of need within the college setting. This is an incredibly rewarding role where you will work directly with students aged 16–25, helping them to access learning, develop independence and achieve their potential in a safe and supportive environment. The Role As a SEND Learning Support Worker, you will provide tailored support to students with a range of complex additional needs. No two days will be the same – support requirements and working days may vary depending on the individual student you are supporting. This role requires someone who is:

Caring, patient and compassionatePositive, adaptable and solution-focusedConfident supporting students with high levels of needComfortable with personal care responsibilities where requiredPassionate about helping young people thrive You will be expected to build positive relationships with students, promote independence and provide support both inside and outside of the classroom. Location: Lewisham CollegeHours: 9:00am – 4:00pmWorking Pattern: Likely to be 4 – 5 days per weekStudents Supported: Young people aged 16–25Support Needs: Needs and working days will vary according to the student being supportedPersonal Care: This role will involve personal care What We’re Looking For We welcome applications from candidates who have:

Experience working within an SEN/SEND school environmentExperience in a care or support settingA genuine passion for supporting individuals with additional needsA strong work ethic and a flexible, can-do attitude Experience using British Sign Language (BSL) or Makaton would be highly advantageous, although not essential. Salary
