The role of the Second Chef in our Care Home involves collaborating with the Head Chef to create nutritious and flavorful menus. The chef will focus on using fresh seasonal ingredients and adapt menus to the preferences of the residents, ensuring a personalized dining experience. This position offers a work-life balance with no split shifts and shorter workweeks compared to traditional hospitality roles. Additionally, there is an emphasis on delivering restaurant-quality food while maintaining a warm, supportive work environment. The chef will also be responsible for managing the kitchen during the Head Chef's absence, overseeing menu development, stock control, and adhering to budgetary constraints.
