We are a supportive, well-led practice with a strong team ethos, where people genuinely enjoy coming to work. Our clinical and administrative teams work closely together, creating an environment where GPs feel valued, supported, and able to focus on delivering high-quality care without unnecessary pressure.

We recognise the importance of work-life balance and have developed systems to help manage demand safely and effectively, alongside a management team that is proactive, responsive, and committed to continuous improvement. You will be joining a stable partnership that is approachable, forward-thinking, and open to new ideas.

This role is ideal for a GP who is looking to settle into a practice, build relationships with patients and colleagues, and play a meaningful part in shaping services.

If you are looking for a role where your voice is heard, your development is supported, and you can see a long-term future, we would love to hear from you.

Job Title: Salaried General Practitioner (GP)

Sessions: 6 sessions per week

Reports to: GP Partners / Practice Manager

Job SummaryThe post-holder will work as an autonomous practitioner providing high-quality, patient-centred care within a well-established GP practice. You will manage a varied clinical caseload and work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe and effective services.

The practice operates a modern total triage model using Anima, supporting safe demand management and structured workflows. Workload is aligned with safe working guidance, with no more than 25 patient contacts per day, supporting a sustainable and high-quality clinical service.

This is an excellent opportunity for a GP looking to develop professionally within a supportive environment, with scope to take on additional responsibilities and a clear pathway to Partnership for the right candidate.

Provide routine and urgent primary care consultations (face-to-face, telephone, and online) via Anima triage.

Assess, diagnose, and manage a wide range of acute and chronic conditions.

Prescribe safely and effectively in line with local and national guidance.

Undertake home visits where clinically appropriate.

Manage pathology results, incoming correspondence, and follow-up care.

Maintain accurate and contemporaneous clinical records.

Deliver safe, effective, and evidence-based care in line with best practice and BMA safe working guidance.

Participate in safeguarding for children and vulnerable adults.

Contribute to clinical governance, audits, and quality improvement.

Work within practice policies, CQC standards, and regulatory frameworks.

Work collaboratively with GPs, nursing staff, pharmacists, and wider PCN teams.

Participate in clinical meetings and contribute to service development.

Support and mentor trainees or junior staff where appropriate.

Promote a positive and respectful team culture.

Process prescriptions, referrals, and clinical documentation efficiently.

Manage workflow and patient contacts through the Anima triage system.

Maintain awareness of practice systems and operational processes.

Professional Development

Maintain GMC registration, appraisal, and revalidation.

Engage in CPD and mandatory training.

Contribute to personal and practice development initiatives.

Fully qualified GP with current registration on the GMC GP Register.

Inclusion on the NHS Performers List.

Strong clinical decision-making skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desirable

Experience of working within a total triage model (e.g. Anima).

Interest in developing a specialist clinical area.

Interest in leadership or progression to Partnership.

Contract aligned with BMA model terms and conditions.

Workload capped in line with safe working guidance (maximum 25 patient contacts per day).

Supportive and stable team environment with a focus on wellbeing and long-term career development.

You will be joining a welcoming, experienced, and close knit team who support one another and take pride in delivering high quality patient care. Our clinicians, nursing team, and administrative staff work collaboratively, creating a positive and respectful working environment where everyone's contribution is valued.

We have a strong work ethic but also understand the importance of balance. The team is approachable, with an open culture where ideas are encouraged, and support is always available when needed. We foster a one team approach, ensuring GPs feel part of a wider network rather than working in isolation.

Our leadership team is visible, proactive, and committed to making the practice a great place to work. We continually look at ways to improve systems and processes to make day to day work more manageable and efficient.

In return, we offer a supportive environment, opportunities for development, and a clear pathway for those interested in Partnership. This is a practice where you can build strong relationships, develop your career, and feel part of something long-term.
