Our practiceswork to Safe practice guidelines and have undertaken the GP Improvement Programme to look at ways to improve processes and effective systemswithin our practices.

Nottingham City has regular Protected Learning Time events 10 times per year on a Tuesday afternoon, alternating between in-house learning activities and external teaching topics.

Our GP sessions are 4 hour 15 minutes, and timetabled to provide15-minuteappointments, protected clinical administrationtime,and whererequiredadditionalprotected time for activities such as ARRS/ AHP staff debriefing and other clinical meetings. All practices hold clinical team meetings and ad hoc peer support catch upsfor staff development.

Successful candidates will manage a caseload, including duty doctor responsibilitiesand deal with a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting, ensuring the highest standards of care for all.They will bean integral part ofNottingham City General Practice Alliance (NCGPA)which willprovideopportunities forskills development andcareer progression such as developing special interests in clinical, educational, training or research areas.

NCGPA has introduced total triage to improve access to appropriate services, enabling patients to access the right service first time. You will be part of developing and running the triage system with support from the practice and wider team.

Candidates will alsohave the opportunity todevelop clinicaland manageriallead areas within the practices such as safeguardingandclinical governance.

Part of theNCGPA's new strategy isalsoto developteaching and training opportunitiesinallitspractices.

NCGPA is a GP Federation of37memberpractices in Nottingham City,which started in April 2016andprovides services forpatientsacross the city. Our vision is to:

All4practices are active members of their respective PCNs and are keen to develop teaching,training,and research interests.As part of the NCGPA family we are committed to providing mentorship and support for GPs at all stages of their career.

NCGPA has developed strong links across the CityPlace BasedPartnership (PBP) working closely withCommunity and Secondary City Health Provider colleagues,Public Health, localgovernment,andthevoluntary care sector. Addressing the health inequalities present across the city is a key strategicobjectiveof ours.
