Are you looking
to practise high-quality, patient-centred general practice in one of the UK's
most beautiful locations?
Lander Medical
Practice, based in the cathedral city of Truro, is seeking an enthusiastic
Salaried GP to join our friendly and forward-thinking team. We have 8 GP
partners and 4 salaried GPs, with sessions negotiable, ideally 6 per week.
Lander Medical
Practice was recently ranked among the top 10% of practices in Cornwall for
quality outcomes. We share modern premises with our PCN partner, Three Spires
Medical Practice, and together form one of Cornwall's highest-performing
Primary Care Networks.
Our clinicians
are supported by a strong multidisciplinary team, including paramedics in our
duty hub, an in-house pharmacy team, physiotherapists, GP assistants and
workflow administrators. We work closely with community nurses, the Acute Care
at Home team, and Integrated Neighbourhood Teams supporting mental health and
frailty care, helping to reduce workload and improve patient outcomes.
We are a
long-established GP training practice and part of the University of Exeter
Medical School programme. We support professional development through regular
clinical meetings, protected learning time and practice development days.
Opportunities exist to pursue clinical interests, teaching and research.
Continuity of
care is important to us, and we encourage list holding. We are also involved in
projects aimed at improving continuity and tackling health inequalities across
our population of more than 20,000 patients.
Most
importantly, we value work-life balance. Our supportive team culture includes
regular coffee breaks, strong peer support, shower facilities for active
commuters and e-bikes for home visits.
When you're not
at work, Cornwall offers an exceptional lifestyle, with stunning coastline,
moorland, outdoor activities and a thriving food and cultural scene. Truro
provides excellent road, rail and air links, making it an ideal place to live
and work.
