We're looking for another GP to join our friendly team in Chard, and we'd love to meet you. We're a practice that cares about knowing our patients and...
Our ask of you...
- 4-6 sessions a week
- BMA model contract
- Capped patient lists, so you have the time to do the job properly
- One set duty session a week in our Urgent Care Hub
- Working across our two sites
You're a fully qualified GP (MRCGP, on the Performers List or eligible to join) who enjoys continuity of care and being part of a team. Whether you're newly qualified or well into your career, we'd like to hear from you. A special interest is welcome but not essential.
- Perform the delivery of highly effective medical care to the registered population, with a focus on continuity of care, patient choice and condition management in accordance with best practice clinical and prescribing guidelines.
- Integrate as part of the GP and wider workforce team to deliver quality care and protect the interests of individuals.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and support patients to access specialist services through timely and accurate referrals.
- Engage in the planning and delivery of continuous improvement activity.
- Encourage collaborative working, liaising with all staff regularly, contributing towards a safe and inclusive culture.
- Adhere to the policies and procedures set by the practice.
Who you'll be working with...
We have a true mix of skills in the team, so someone will always be on hand should you need them:
- 11 GP's working across the week, including a dedicated Older Person's GP.
- Advanced Nurse Practitioners, each focussing on their own specialism; Paediatrics, Chronic Disease and Frailty.
- Paramedics working in our Urgent Care Hub treating those acutely unwell.
- A diverse nursing team all with their own experience and expertise.
- GPAs, Safeguarding care co-ordinators, Secretaries and Patient Services Team, all working alongside the clinical team to support patients and clinicians alike!
What it's like here...
We were recently rated "Good" by the CQC, and we're proud of it. But, without fail, the thing people mention first is our team. We're a friendly, sociable bunch!
- A walking group making its way along the South West Coast Path
- A reading group
- A rounders team (enthusiasm over skill)
- Regular fundraising events, usually involving cake/ occasionally more active!
Not forgetting that Chard is a lovely place to be, with the coast, the Blackdown Hills and the Jurassic Coast all within easy reach.
