Safeguarding Advisor (IUCS)

Deliver effective safeguarding advice to staff working within front line services, ensuring risk areas within cases are identified and that staff are adequately supported

Support & contribute to the planning, delivery and evaluation of DHC safeguarding education and training programs

Work in partnership with partner agencies and professionals, within safeguarding processes to improve outcomes

Managerial / Supervisory Experience

Essential: - Experience of developing and delivering training

Desirable: - Experience of providing supervision to staff

Finance / Resources

Essential: - Able to effectively manage available resources in the pursuit of quality service provision ensuring a safe environment

Information Technology / Resources

Essential: - Able to analyse data and produce reports using Microsoft Excel and Word; - Experience of using electronic patient / service user record systems

Additional requirements

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND TRAINING

Desirable: - Membership of the relevant Professional Body; - Knowledge and understanding of Trust Strategy relevant to role
