Create,

maintain and apply clinical and room rotas within SystmOne accurately and

within agreed timescales.

Keep

rotas up to date to reflect annual leave, sickness absence, study leave and other operational

Monitor

rotas and identify gaps, conflicts and room allocation issues, escalating

these appropriately.

Work

closely with the Clinical Services Manager to support effective rota

planning.

Communicate

rota changes promptly and accurately to relevant colleagues.

Support

the effective use of clinical rooms and Practice resources across all

Practice sites.

Provide

first-line IT support to Practice staff, resolving routine hardware,

software and connectivity issues.

support with computers, printers, telephones and other Practice IT

equipment.

Assist

colleagues with routine IT queries and problems, providing clear and

appropriate guidance.

Liaise

with external IT support providers when issues require specialist

intervention and follow up outstanding issues where appropriate.

Maintain

appropriate records of IT issues and support provided.

Support

the implementation and maintenance of digital and administrative

processes.

Identify

opportunities to improve rota, IT and administrative processes and

contribute to service improvements.

Undertake

other reasonable duties appropriate to the role and level of

responsibility.

We are looking for someone who is highly organised, reliable and

proactive, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage

competing priorities.

You will need to be confident using IT systems and able to troubleshoot

routine problems logically. You should also be comfortable communicating with a

wide range of colleagues and explaining IT or administrative issues clearly and

professionally.

You will be able to work independently, use your own initiative and

recognise when an issue needs to be escalated.

Previous experience of working in a healthcare or primary care

environment would be advantageous, as would experience of working with SystmOne,

clinical rotas or room scheduling. However, we are particularly interested in

candidates who can demonstrate strong organisational, administrative and IT

As this is a new role, we are looking for someone who is adaptable,

willing to learn and able to contribute to the development of the role and the

wider team.

37.5 hours per

week (full-time) preferred.

Working hours

will be scheduled within the Practice's opening hours, Monday to Friday 08.00

to18.30 and Saturday 09.00 to 17.00.

Qualifications

Essential

  • GCSE (or equivalent) Grade 4/C or above in English and Mathematics.
  • Good standard of IT literacy, with practical experience of using and supporting IT systems in the workplace

Desirable: - NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration, IT Support or Digital Support, or equivalent relevant experience.

Experience

Essential

  • Experience of working in an administrative, IT support or similar role.
  • Experience of using computerised systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience of managing and prioritising a varied workload.
  • Experience of working with confidential information.
  • Experience of working effectively with colleagues from different teams.

Desirable

  • Experience of working within a GP Practice, NHS or other healthcare environment.
  • Experience of using SystmOne.
  • Experience of clinical or room rota administration.
  • Experience of providing first-line IT support.
  • Experience of supporting or troubleshooting IT equipment
