To lead the feasibility, set-up, financial management, and business development functions for commercial and non-commercial clinical trials within OHCT, ensuring studies are delivered efficiently, aligned with organisational priorities, financially sustainable, and supported by strong stakeholder partnerships.

Knowledge/Qualifications

Essential

  • Educated to masters degree or equivalent

Desirable

  • Relevant project management qualification eg PRINCE2

Skills

Essential

  • Ability to innovate, respond to and initiate change
  • Proven ability to develop effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • In depth working knowledge of current clinical trial landscape and potential impact
  • Proven ability to make decisions, organise and prioritise own work in a busy work environment and time critical situations.
  • Able to co-ordinate and influence the activity of others to produce work within agreed timescales and quality standards. Evidence of ability to work on own initiative.
  • Experience and ability in project management

Experience

Essential

  • Experience of initiation of clinical trials including feasibility reviews and budget negotiation
  • Extensive experience relevant to the field of Oncology and Haematology
  • Experience of developing systems for information dissemination/ performance monitoring
  • Leadership/ management experience
