As a Research Administrator Assistant, you will work closely with the Clinical Research Team to support the safe and effective delivery of research studies in line with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines and research governance requirements. You will play a vital role in the administration, setup, maintenance and closure of clinical research studies while ensuring accurate record keeping and excellent participant support.
Based across sites including Musgrove Park Hospital, Yeovil District Hospital and other Somerset locations, this role offers variety and the opportunity to work alongside experienced research professionals making a real difference to patient care and future treatments.

Qualifications
Essential
- Computer qualification (e.g. European Computer Driving License, MOST) or ability to demonstrate a high standard of proficiency in MS Office and electronic file management. Microsoft Office, in particular Microsoft Word, Excel and Access
Desirable
- Good standard of education: English, Mathematics, and a science GCSE (or equivalent)
- Educated to A-level or Level 3 Advanced Diploma
- Degree or working towards
- NVQ level 3 (or equivalent experience) in business and administration
Experience
Essential
- Experience of working in the NHS or similar organisation/setting
- Experience in clinical data collection or audit
- Experience of dealing with patients or the public
- Dealing with personal confidential and or sensitive information
Desirable
- Data management including writing and running reports.
- Research Governance knowledge
- Medical terminology knowledge
- Experience working with medical records.
