- Ensuring consistent delivery of patient care, assessing care needs & implementing agreed nursing and clinical standards.
- Delivering haemodialysis treatment to CKD patients who attend the unit 3 times a week.
- Managing a clinical workload.
- Working with the MDT to ensure that the needs of the complex chronic patients are met.
- Monitoring the quality of care delivered using clinical standards & audit and in conjunction with other members of the MDT takes necessary action to ensure excellence in nursing practice.
- Participating in professional and personal development of the Nursing Team.
- Supporting the nursing team in the clinical area to minimise and identify potential environmental & clinical risks.

Education, Training and Qualifications
Essential
- NMC registration
- One year post qualifying as unable to complete preceptorship on RDU
Desirable
- Evidence of Diploma/ BSC Nursing or equivalent
Knowledge and Experience
Essential
- Evidence of teamwork experience
- Experience of mentoring, supporting and developing staff
Desirable
- Knowledge of the clinical area/speciality
- Renal working experience
Skils & Ability
Essential
- Evidence of transferrable nursing skills
Desirable
- Evidence of acute hospital nursing experience/knowledge
