Conducting comprehensive pre-operative assessments
Triaging and assessing patients to ensure suitability for surgery
Identifying and escalating potential clinical concerns
Supporting safe, personalised patient care throughout the surgical pathway
Providing clear information and reassurance to patients and families
Working collaboratively with consultants, anaesthetists and multidisciplinary teams
Contributing to quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
You'll have
We're looking for a nurse who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care and thrives in a collaborative environment.
- Current NMC registration with no restrictions on practice
- Previous experience within a Pre-Assessment setting
- Acute healthcare experience
- Strong assessment and clinical decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Confidence working independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Good IT and electronic patient record skills
- Phlebotomy, venepuncture and ECG competency
- Pre-Operative Assessment Association qualification or training
- 35 days annual leave including bank holidays
