Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Manager to lead their Residential Family Assessment Centre, ensuring children’s safety and welfare remain at the heart of everything they do.

This is an exciting opportunity for a strong, compassionate leader to inspire a multidisciplinary team, oversee evidence-based parenting assessments and create a safe, nurturing environment where families are supported to make positive changes.

As Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the centre, ensuring high standards of care, effective leadership and full compliance with relevant legislation, the Residential Family Centres Regulations 2002 (as amended), National Minimum Standards and Ofsted requirements.

  • Lead, supervise and develop staff, promoting a positive culture of accountability, professionalism and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee Parenting Assessments, Family Placement Plans and Assessment Reports to ensure they are accurate, evidence-based and completed within agreed timescales.
  • Champion safeguarding, ensuring children’s welfare, risk management and child protection remain central to all decisions.
  • Maintain regulatory compliance, inspection readiness, accurate records and effective quality assurance systems.
  • Manage referrals, admissions, discharges, staffing, budgets, resources, health and safety and building maintenance.
  • Build strong partnerships with local authorities, Ofsted and multidisciplinary professionals.
  • Provide on-call support and guidance during emergencies when required.

You will be a confident, proactive and compassionate leader with a strong commitment to safeguarding children and achieving positive outcomes for families.

  • A Degree in Social Work or a relevant related field, with current Social Work England registration where required.
  • At least five years’ management or leadership experience in a residential family assessment or comparable setting.
  • A Level 5 management qualification or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of Safeguarding, Parenting Assessments, Risk Management, relevant legislation and Ofsted requirements.
  • Proven experience in staff leadership, quality assurance, regulatory compliance and budget management.
  • Excellent communication, organisational and decision-making skills.
  • Flexibility to work outside standard hours when required.

This is an opportunity to shape a service, develop a dedicated team and make a meaningful difference to children and families. You will play a vital role in promoting safeguarding excellence, strengthening practice and ensuring families receive high-quality, respectful and effective support.

If you are ready to lead with purpose, inspire others and put children first, they would love to hear from you.

Please submit your CV and a supporting statement outlining your relevant experience, leadership skills and commitment to safeguarding children and supporting families.

Help our client make a lasting difference to children’s lives and family outcomes.
