Job description
Salary: £51,000–£59,600 plus up to £16,000 annual bonus Bright Selection is recruiting for an experienced Registered Manager to lead a well-established five-bed children’s residential home supporting young people with learning disabilities, autism, non-verbal communication needs and behaviours that may challenge. The home is fully occupied, rated Good by Ofsted and has no current operational concerns. It benefits from a stable staff team, good staff retention and an experienced Deputy Manager who has worked at the service for approximately four years. This is an opportunity to take over a settled home and continue building on its strong foundations while maintaining high standards of care, safeguarding and regulatory compliance. The role will include:
Leading the day-to-day operation of the homeMaintaining the home’s Good Ofsted rating and driving continued improvementEnsuring robust safeguarding and regulatory complianceLeading, developing and supporting the established staff teamOverseeing personalised care planning and positive outcomes for young peopleManaging budgets, rotas, recruitment and quality assuranceWorking closely with regional management and therapeutic services Essential requirements:
At least three years’ experience as a Registered Manager within children’s residential careA successful history of managing a service rated Good or Outstanding by OfstedExperience supporting children with learning disabilitiesStrong safeguarding and regulatory knowledgeLevel 5 Leadership and Management or Level 3/4 Children and Young People’s Workforce/Residential ChildcareA consistent and child-focused leadership approach The role is predominantly Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm, although flexibility will be required according to the needs of the home. There is a shared local on-call rota, approximately one week in every six to eight weeks, with regional management support available. Benefits include:
