Radiology Assistant

As a CT Department Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of a safe and efficient CT service by:

Coordinating the inpatient CT workload and managing patient flow through the department.

Communicating with wards, doctors, radiologists, nurses, porters and CT staff to ensure patients are ready for their examinations.

Using telephone and IT systems to prioritise requests and respond to changing service demands.

Supporting patients before, during and after CT examinations and procedures.

Undertaking delegated clinical duties following training and competency assessment.

Preparing clinical areas and equipment, maintaining accurate records and supporting departmental administration.

Assisting the wider CT team to deliver a high-quality service and positive patient experience.

Participating in weekend working as required by the service.
