To dispense Medicines/drugs as required by the doctors in the practice and to arrange for their checking as required.

To receive and dispense repeat medicine requests.

To dispense and record private prescriptions with their payments

To ensure that medicine/drugs are not date expired.

To receive and dispense repeat medicine requests.

To collect prescription charges.

To re-order medicine/drugs and containers as required.

To maintain stock efficiently and economically.

To fully observe all legal requirements relevant to prescribing in general practice.

To keep efficient records.

To prepare and package the prescriptions and submit, on time, to the PPA.

Checking backs and fronts of prescriptions and totals logged

Automatic printing once weekly

Dealing with alerts

Monthly CD to computer stock check

Destruction of CDs in accordance with regulations when required

We are a large training practice of 17k patients based in 'leafy' Romsey. We are a friendly team of 13 GPs, 5 nurses, 1 HCA and 1 Phlebotomist.

We have an exciting opportunity to recruit an enthusiastic dispenser to join our dedicated dispensary team

We are looking for someone to work Wednesday, Thursday, Friday between the hours of 9am - 6pm with additional hours as required

Experience

Essential: - Experience; - Essential; - Experience in a Dispensary or Pharmacy preferred.; - Essentially evidence of team work and working with the general public.
