Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust are looking to appoint a Project Manager to join our expanding Digital Project Management Office...
- To be an effective member of the Digital Project Management Office (PMO) working across both our Transformation & Innovation workstreams with responsibility for:o The successful planning, execution, monitoring, control and closure of a number of digital projects within your remit.
- Providing management, guidance and support to colleagues and junior members of the PMO.
- Manage project risks and issues.
- Ensure the effective delivery of each project within agreed timescales, quality and cost.
- Being central to the continual development of the PMO and its functionality.

Education and Qualifications
Essential
- Educated to degree level or equivalent experience
- Project Management qualification e.g. Prince2/MSP/AgilePM
Desirable
- Digital related qualification (ITIL, DBA, Cloud, Development)
- Recognised management / leadership qualification
- Master's degree qualification
Experience
Essential
- Proven ability of delivering complex, large scale projects preferably in a digital environment.
- Proven experience of managing projects following recognised Project Managements framework
- Experience of working with complex information and using persuasive and effective negotiating skills.
- Proven ability to manage budgets and human/financial resources effectively, demonstrating staff management and leadership skills.
- Experience of managing benefits realisation.
- Considerable experience in planning and delivery of significant organisational change.
- Experience of assessing requirements and the development of technical/functional specifications of requirements.
- Extensive experience of developing and implementing strategies, policies and action plans.
- Experience of process mapping and service redesign.
Desirable
- Experience of working for the NHS and/or in mental health.
- Experience of patient or health service user-based systems.
- Experience of interpreting and implementing national guidelines and policy.
- Experience of group facilitation and delivery of training
Knowledge
Essential
- To have knowledge of NHS Digital related areas, standards and expectations.
- Practical understanding of how NHS or social care organisations operate.
- Sound understanding and working knowledge of change management concepts such as process mapping, process redesign, stakeholder expectation management.
- Understanding of NHS IT procurement and tendering processes.
- Knowledge and practical application of financial and risk management.
- Understanding of Business Analysis techniques.
Desirable
- Understanding of the current NHS mental health policy and strategy
