Help shape the future of NHS People Services This is an opportunity to be part of one of the NHS's most ambitious workforce transformation programmes....
The opportunity
As a Programme Manager, you will sit at the heart of TPS delivery in London, taking responsibility for turning ambitious transformation plans into tangible outcomes.
You will lead and coordinate a key programme workstream, bringing together senior leaders, subject matter experts, NHS organisations, programme teams and delivery partners. You will create the structure and momentum needed to move from design to delivery, ensuring plans are robust, dependencies are understood, risks are actively managed and progress remains focused on measurable outcomes and benefits.
This is not simply a programme reporting role. We are looking for someone who can get underneath complex issues, bring people together, challenge constructively and make things happen.
- lead the planning and delivery of a major TPS workstream, keeping objectives, milestones, benefits and dependencies on track
- provide strong programme leadership across governance, risk, issues, assurance, performance and reporting
- build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and delivery partners across organisational boundaries
- lead mobilisation and integrated delivery planning, aligning resources and activity around agreed priorities
- identify and resolve barriers to delivery, maintaining pace and confidence in a complex environment
- use data, insight and performance information to support decisions and track benefits; and
- support a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement across programme and delivery teams.
We are looking for an ambitious, resilient and highly organised programme professional who is comfortable operating in complexity and passionate about delivering meaningful change at scale.
You will bring significant experience of complex programme delivery, transformation or large-scale improvement, ideally within the NHS, healthcare or wider public sector. You will understand how to translate strategic ambition into practical delivery and will be confident working with senior leaders, programme boards and multidisciplinary teams.
We are particularly interested in candidates who bring experience in People & Change, Digital transformation or Service Design.
When applying please confirm which of the three roles you are applying for.
Because this is a chance to do more than manage a programme.
You will be part of work that is seeking to fundamentally reshape how People Services operate across the NHS, creating services that are more modern, agile, inclusive and effective for the people who use them.
You will work alongside colleagues from across the NHS, influence significant transformation decisions and help turn a bold vision into change that NHS organisations, managers and staff can see and experience.
If you thrive on complexity, enjoy turning strategy into delivery and want to help shape the future of NHS People Services, we would love to hear from you.
