To manage a defined area of responsibility safely and effectively, ensuring the delivery of a high standard of care to the service users by supervising and monitoring a range of multi disciplinary.

To maintain close links with other professionals both internal and external to the Trust to maintain a high quality of service delivery.

An exiting opportunity has arisen to join the Primary Care Mental Health Team as a Mental Health Lead in Kirkby.

This is an exiting post improving collaboration between primary care secondary care services to support patients getting access to the right service, at the right time, in the right place.

This post will be working closely with Kirkby GP's, Kirkby PCN and Mersey Care to support those with mental health difficulties.

Mersey Care is one of the largest trusts providing physical health and mental health services in the North West, serving more than 1.4 million people across our region and are also commissioned for services that cover the North West, North Wales and the Midlands.

We offer specialist inpatient and community services that support physical and mental health and specialist inpatient mental health, learning disability, addiction and brain injury services. Mersey Care is one of only three trusts in the UK that offer high secure mental health facilities.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Relevant professional qualification - RMN / Occupational Therapist

Desirable

  • NMP Qualification
  • Completed course/module research methods

Experience

Essential

  • Significant evidence of post registration experience, in relevant service areas.
  • Significant evidence of delivering teaching programmes to staff groups.
  • Understanding of Adult safeguarding issues
  • Competent in use of IT packages such as Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
  • Evidence of audit's undertaken and outcomes.

Desirable

  • Experience of presentations at local, regional, national level.
  • Experience of providing supervision to others, and experience in a leadership role.
  • Competent in using databases and spread sheets

Knowledge

Essential

  • Demonstrates ability and Knowledge on how to undertake audit and feedback to clinicians

Desirable

  • Evidence continued leadership development

Skills

Essential

  • Evidence of excellent clinical record keeping
  • Demonstrate the ability to work in highly demanding environment.
  • Maintained development of clinical leadership skills.
  • Undertaken a leadership programme.
  • Evidence of diplomacy and negotiation skills
  • Able to demonstrate imaginative and effective use of resources

Desirable

  • Evidence continued leadership development
