Job description
We are looking for a part time Practice Nurse (28-34 hours per week over 3/4 days) to join our team at Pelton and Fellrose Medical Group.
To provide and maintain a high standard of nursing care for patients, as well as providing nursing assistance to the doctors and other members of the Primary Healthcare Team.
Able to document consultations according to NMC Guidelines
Able to support patients in long term condition management, and carry out practice checks such as venepuncture, blood pressure monitoring, diabetic foot checks
Running Well Person Clinics and Health Promotion Programmes, facilitating change by providing holistic, assessment and lifestyle advice, smoking, alcohol intake and exercise, including NHS and new patient health checks
Perform Cervical Cytology Tests
Perform suture removal
Ability to undertake ECGs
Immunisations / vaccinations
Assist in the provision of Minor Surgery and Coil fittings
Have some experience in managing Long Term Conditions, or be interested in developing this skill

Essential
- RGN Qualification
- Current NMC Registration
- Cervical Cytology Qualification
Desirable
- Accredited training in Chronic Disease Management
- Prescribing qualification
