Main Duties of the Job- Perform venepuncture safely and efficiently for patients of all ages.
- Label and process blood samples accurately.
- Ensure samples are transported in line with practice and laboratory procedures.
- Maintain accurate patient records using the clinical system.
- Provide a professional and compassionate service to patients.
- Maintain stock levels and ensure equipment is appropriately stored and maintained.
- Adhere to infection prevention and control policies.
- Participate in mandatory training and practice meetings.

- Previous experience working as a Phlebotomist.
- Competency in venepuncture techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good IT and record-keeping skills.
- Understanding of patient confidentiality and data protection.
- Desirable
Desirable: - Experience working within General Practice or Primary Care.; - Knowledge of System one; - Care Certificate or relevant healthcare qualification.
