The duties will involve providing support to Pharmacists and other technical staff working in the Dispensary, Aseptic Dispensing Unit and Pharmacy Receipt & Distribution, and will include visits to hospital wards and departments as part of the provision of a comprehensive pharmaceutical service.

Qualifications
Desirable
- Good general education , preferably Mathematics and English at GCSE level or functional skills will be offered
- Training to NVQ2 level, or equivalent, attained or will be provided
Experience
Desirable: - Recent experience of working in a Healthcare setting; - Recent experience of working in another public / customer service industry
Skills & Knowledge
Essential
- Can communicate effectively verbally and in writing with patients and service users , particularly by telephone
- Able to prioritise own workload within the scope of organised rotas
Desirable: - Familiarity with the necessary keyboard skills required to use the departmental computer systems

- Able to meet the demands of a busy department

- Able to lift and move manual loads i.e. pharmacy boxes ; deliveries
